I called Emily (my best friend & ass.) Thursday night from the Atlanta airport in a total panic. My Starbuck's grande, decaf, skinny, no whip, cafe' mocha didn't look all that appealing after my goose bumps turned to sweatiness in a moment's time. My flight to Memphis had left without me (or I had stopped for one too many snacks on my way to the gate). I was so disappointed. Emily told me she was going to go check on my flight and I was rushing off to find someone to help me reschedule. I knew I had missed my chance. It was 9:45 p.m. I was going to have to sleep in the Atlanta airport. Not a fun way to start the insane week I had ahead of me.
I frantically walked up to the help desk and handed over my boarding ticket. On it's way to her hand I realized that my flight was supposed to leave at 10:10, not 9:30!! No wonder, I thought. They changed the time of my flight and I was never handed the memo. The nice lady took one look at my ticket and through patient teeth explained to me that my ticket was booked for an Airtran flight. Not Delta. "Honey. You at the wrong terminal."
Oh.
Oops.
So, at 10:10 I was off to Memphis. All was well and my warm coffee was sipped as I sat there cooling off, squished between two rather large men.
Friday evening I had my first of 6 shoots for this week. It was a perfect way to start my week. The lighting was delicious, the couple fun, relaxed and ready for my camera to capture their love, and I have to admit: love shoots are my favorites. Thanks M&E for letting me in on your love lives. And, thanks ass. for coming along. Shoots are always more fun when you're there to hold my lens cap. ;)

I'm sitting in a roomy Marriot suite right now. It's the first of five hotels I'll stay in this week as I slowly make my way from Memphis to Knoxville photographing a wonderful bike tour taking place. For the reason for this bike tour {click here}. I'm eager to see what my days will look like as I travel in the media van capturing people riding their butts off for the sake of bringing awareness to adoption in Tennessee. I have a few more sessions to edit from my weekend in Memphis, an engagement session in my stopover in Nashville and then two more in Knoxville Saturday morning. It's a marathon for sure, but I'm happy as can be to be here.
