My Twitter

Once not too long ago I signed-up on Twitter. It was before I realized what it was. Similiar to 'what are you doing now?' on Facebook you just write...well, what you're doing at that point. I've never typed anything because I figured I wouldn't be doing it for much longer and wouldn't it be 'playing on Facebook' every time anyway? I mean that's what I'd be doing.

But, today...tonight I'm going to make my blog my Twitter, my 'what I'm doing now' space.

Corey's stellar resident class planned, with a ton of work, a weekend away - camping at Clifty Falls State Park in Indiana. Outside of the fact that we brought only a thin blanket to sleep under, and the temperature fell to easily-close-to-50-degrees, it was a really fun 24 hours. It's amazing what happens when you're away from TV's, computers, music, to-do lists, cell phones and even a needy dog. It's as if all of a sudden you realize....just.....how.....tired.....you......are.

Obviously I had a crazy, busy week in Memphis and then I've had a crazy, busy week this past week working so hard on all these new things I'm bringing to 503 (and soooo excited about!). This morning we ate a nice, big, warm, greasy breakfast and then I passed out - like, look like I had been drugged passed out - in a chair. Then we all suited up (16 total) and went for a hike that was supposed to be short, but really was rather long and strenuous at points. After lunch I thought it only made sense to lay flat on the ground and snore some more. Late afternoon, it's pack up and head home time. When I noticed that Dave, sitting in the back seat, was catching flies, I decided to join him. So, yes. That means I took 3 naps today. Three. Tres. Heaven. Love days like this. Need them more often. No one keeps them from me but myself. It's my constant fear that I'm going to look lazy, that I should be doing more, being productive, knocking things off that to-do list, and when was the last time we dusted anyway?

Corey just ran to Papa Johns to pick-up pizza. We realized that in our almost 5 1/2 years of marriage we have never once ordered a pizza. So, we're being super-crazy tonight and doing just that. Although Chili was very happy to have a slumber party last night with our friend Liz, she is very happy that we did not move away forever. She has gone from running in circles upstairs out of sheer happiness (to the point where this old house sounds like it's going to collapse at any moment, all from a 65 lb dog chasing her tail) to laying flat under my feet - as close to me as possible.

I love days like this. I should give myself more of 'em.

I'm thankful for this blog 'cuz I don't think all of this would have fit in the 'what are you doing now?' box on Facebook anyway.

I'm also thankful for all of you who read my random and rather boring ramblings. Happy weekend!
