Don't listen to me. I'm crazy.

What happens when you stomp your foot over and over while yelling, "I am not a wedding photographer" only to find yourself a few months later retracting every "I'm not a wedding photographer" statement ever yelled? Well, you'll find me.

I have said forever that my photography passions lie with families & children. Then I did my brother-in-law's wedding and I loved it. I loved the back-stage pass, being paid to notice the details, seeing it all unfold through my lens. There's just something about it that sucks me in and leaves me feeling quite happy with it all.

This past Saturday I did another wedding and again...all of it was wonderful.

I am hooked.

I'll be honest - I was incredibly tired by the end of a 10 hour, on my feet/knees/stomach/back to knees/feet day, but after a warm shower and a little time with a heating pad to my back I was feeling much better. ;)

I will never be a sole wedding photographer. I know that soon I will have kids and weekends will be my prized time with them. I won't want to be away every Saturday, but until then I'm happy to add more to my schedule....selectively, yes, but more nonetheless.

So many pictures below, I know, but I can't help it. I know that the bride & groom will be thrilled for a sneak peek and I know that everyone who helped to celebrate the day with them will, too.

So, enjoy.

{I looooved her dress!}

{and, her ring}

{for fun. she doesn't really play (at all. eek! ;)}

who's happy Chris is getting married?!?! :D

Emily & I were behind them driving from the ceremony to the reception. We totally were the paparazzi! It was hilarious!!

One shot that was very important for them to get was of them fishing at this lake they have frequented often. The light was fading fast so I was a bit worried, but I kind of like the feel of them with the sun having set.

{the happy couple}{giving a toast}

{yea! they did it! }
Congatulations, Chris & Katie. Thanks for choosing me to spend your big day with you. I am so happy you did. You guys are in for a treat. Marriage is hard work, but it's the most rewarding work you'll ever do.

Jessica, you made my wedding day. If there is one piece of advice I could offer to any bride-to-be about choosing a photographer, it would be to interview for personality. Having a fun photographer (who happens to have talent coming out her ears) made all the difference. Thank you so much!
