Move the coffee table out..not there.
Look behind the pillows...not there.
Look under the couch...not there.
I brought them in here with me, didn't I?? Oh, wait. I'm home again.

So, up the stairs I go to find my soft socks (a must when watching TV & catching up on emails) in my dog's bed. She likes them as much as I do (and, she's awfully sneaky when stealing them).

What a wonderful week I just had. I had a photo shoot every day for a week, ending it all with a gorgeous and fun wedding. I found myself loving my job so very much this week. It can be alot of work, but I feel such a rush from it all. I feel blessed to come off a week where I worked that much yet feel incredibly energized.

Not to mention spending the week at my best friend's house - watching Youtube videos, eating toasted cookie dough with icy milk (place in freezer for 10 minutes for best milk ever!), laughing, catching up on a thousand and one stories, and ending it late last night recapping our long, but so fun day (shooting weddings is so much fun with a stellar assistant (i.e. ass.). I could not....would not have made it through the 10 hour day without her).

As a photographer I often times feel as if I've been given the prized back-stage pass into people's lives. This week was no exception. Watching her play and smile and paint as I captured her as a brand new senior, watching them interact with one another knowing that this could very well be their last family photos (cancer is a thief), watching them in their 40's "celebrating life" (I quote), watching her get ready in anticipation for the hours ahead as she would turn from a fiance to a bride to a wife....

As I sit here on my couch, getting ready to eat macaroni & cheese (Corey's working tonight and he's the cook) and watch the finale of So You Think You Can Dance I'm grateful for what has just transpired and for what is to come.

Make sure to visit lots this week - tons of posts to come! :)

To everyone who made my week in Memphis nearly perfect, I am grateful.

To everyone else reading this on a Monday morning and sad that the weekend is over watch this. You will not - I repeat - will not be disappointed. (note: gets funnier the more you watch it)

p.s. If you're looking for more - when the video is over find the one titled "Samurai Sword Screw Up" Gah, these things are h i l a r i o u s!!!!
